چکیده

This is a very short description of results in a series of studies of phase position in Ising-like or in~rac~g particle lattice systems which are very convenient for computational purposes. The condition of detailed balance does not hold in general due to the presence of either conflicting kinetics or driving dissipative fields. The systems exhibit interesting behaviour that may sometimes correspond to natural situations, e.g., they model ideal steady nonequilibri~ states in complex systems.

Matrix Product States of Three Families of One-Dimensional Interacting Particle Systems

The steady states of three families of one-dimensional nonequilibrium models with open boundaries, first proposed in [22], are studied using a matrix product formalism. It is shown that their associated quadratic algebras have two-dimensional representations, provided that the transition rates lie on specific manifolds of parameters . Exact expressions for the correlation functions of each mode...

A Nonequilibrium Lattice Gas of Two-species: Monte Carlo Investigations

We present the phase diagram of a far from equilibrium system, mapped by Monte Carlo simulation. The model is a lattice gas of two species and holes. The two species are biased to hop in opposite directions and interact via excluded volume and nearest neighbor attractions. Three phases are found as function of temperature and charge density. Introduction. A comprehensive theory of nonequilibriu...

Nonequilibrium Statistical Mechanics of the Zero-Range Process and Application to Networks

Statistical mechanics is concerned with the study of systems with a large number of interacting constituents. Equilibrium statistical mechanics, originally introduced as a theoretical approach for thermodynamics, is well understood and a general theoretical framework exists. Nonequilibrium statistical mechanics is less well understood and no general theoretical framework currently exists. The s...

Percolation Transitions and Wetting Transitions in Stochastic Models

Stochastic models with irreversible elementary processes are introduced, and their macroscopic behaviors in the in nite-time and in nite-volume limits are studied extensively, in order to discuss nonequilibrium stationary states and phase transitions. The Domany-Kinzel model is a typical example of such an irreversible particle system. We rst review this model, and explain that in a certain par...

ABSORBING STATE TRANSITIONS IN CLEAN AND DISORDERED LATTICE MODELS by MAN

Nonequilibrium systems can undergo continuous phase transitions between different steady states. These transitions are characterized by collective fluctuations over large distances and long times similar to the behavior of equilibrium critical points. They also can be divided into different universality classes according to their critical behavior. This dissertation considers two types of noneq...
